Meh. I don't shave my pits and I feel fine. Granted, I don't feel confident going out in public in anything that might reveal my pit hair so who knows?

I'm in the same boat. I don't mind being hairy, but at the same time I'm self conscious about other people seeing my hairiness. It's a bit of a pickle, but I'm learning to deal with it and not care what other people think.
I just... I can't. I'm fat. I don't really dress myself up. I don't mind it but I don't want people seeing Fat and Hairy and think I'm disgusting, either.
I thought something was weird with me because I didn't start getting pit hair till I was like 15 and yet I had gotten my first down-there pubes when I was like 9-10. I would go weeks or months without shaving my pits and do it and then it felt so good and smooth. :D
I think I've ruined a few of my shirts by doing this though, the hair must be itchy growing back in, because I've, without noticing i'm doing it, scratched holes in the pits of many of my shirts over time. (it may also be because of being worn so many times) but does anyone else have that problem? :c
I am growing my pits out for the first time, just to see what it feels like. I already dont shave my legs, so I thought I'd give it a try. I just got past the itchy grow-ing out stage and it's not as weird as i thought it'd be.
I recently stopped shaving everything because of weird skin irritations and whatnot. I had YI for like three months, so I stopped trimming to avoid itchiness as much as possible, my legs were getting really bad razor burn even with new blades and really good shaving soap/creams, and I stopped shaving my armpits because I'm doing a cycling tour and heard that pit hair can keep moisture (and thus bacteria) away from the skin... Hoping it helps me not stink as much :x
Kudos to you, though. Newly shaved pits feel nice.
yep. never didn't shave my pits, but even my husband trims his pits once every few months...
I actually dont mind being hairy but my pits smell more when i dont shave so i find myself shaving them about twice a week (my hair goes back super fast it seems)
I love the feeling of being newly shaven. I have no problem with people who make the choice not to shave but I love the feeling too much to do that myself, haha.
I get it, you feel omg amazing, but that doesn't mean everyone should shave their armpits. For example, some people's skin can't take shaving - especially armpits 'cause the skin there is extra sensitive. I shave, but that combined with skin problems, however minor they are, make my armpits look like a leopard 24/7.
Maybe Palmer has sensitive skin or, you know, just doesn't care? Pff.
Agree with this. I can't shave because I have bumps all over my legs and arms. It hurts too bad.
I think she doesn't shave to make a statement and not because it hurts her.
I thought she didn't shave because she just don't curr. Then it evolved into trying to help women be comfortable in their natural state
I think her main statement is and always has been, "OMG LOOK AT MEEEEEE LOOK AT MEEEEE LOOK AT MEEEEEEEEEEE!"
No one will see my pits, so I don't bother shaving them.
Wait til you get your first ingrown hair the size of a chickpea! .....which is actually a little awesome
Oh God yes. Hairy pits gross me out.
But that's just me... YMMV.
